My Story

Hello, I'm Travis Martin, owner and operator of Whitetail Gallery Taxidermy.

Throughout my entire life, I have had a passion for the outdoors which led me to my favorite sport; hunting.  Also, I have maintained a long history in the arts, including drawing, sculpture, woodcarving and oil painting.  Because of my admiration for the whitetail deer, and years of artistic experience and education, taxidermy and antler repair seemed like an obvious career choice.

Harvesting a trophy deer is undoubtedly one of the most exciting experiences a person can have.  I feel that my job is to provide you with the utmost quality for your mount.  Being that I have a personal understanding for the importance of a trophy, I pay close attention to details such as expression, color scheme, and correct anatomy.  All of my customers' work includes nictitating membranes in the eyes, a septum, a detailed nose pad, and the use of earliners to create a thin, accurate ear.

Taxidermy keeps the thrill of hunting a live, not only during the season, but throughout the entire year.  There is always a new tale of some one's woodland adventure.  Conversation and storytelling in the workshop are certainly some of the best aspects of my career.  For me though, there is nothing better than a customer's reaction when he/she picks up his/her completed project.  It is an honor to preserve the magic of your kill, not only for your, but for friends and family to enjoy for years to come.

Thank you and good luck hunting.
